Our business teams are comprised of various functions, including Strategic/Technical Finance, HR, Recruiting, Legal, and Operations. We are always seeking ways to build and scale our processes and data across the company that allow us to make significant progress on the path to AGI.

About the role

In this role, you'll act as a full-stack engineer to help us develop unique, functional tools and systems that will help automate and streamline business-critical work. You'll do this by leveraging existing frameworks, infrastructure, and the OpenAI API and creating novel solutions from the ground up.

Developers and customers worldwide use our API to build incredible ML-powered tools, services, and solutions that help people grow their creativity and extend their productivity.

As a critical member of our Business organization, you'll partner with various leaders, including our COO and VP of People. You will be a part of our Partnership Research team. 

In addition, you'll:

• Build functional tools to support various needs, such as internal chatbots, web apps, API hooks, and web scrapers.
• Build out integrations with systems and APIs we use across the organization.
• Help answer technical questions from our teams when onboarding new technology solutions.
• Prototype new and creative ways we can utilize our API internally.

You might thrive in this role if you:

• Are proficient in Javascript and Python.
• Have deep experience working with APIs, particularly the OpenAI API.
• Build tools to accelerate and operationalize workflows, and know when off-the-shelf solutions will not do.
• Have a strong record of building custom apps or tools based on the needs of a business.
• Enjoy rapidly prototyping ideas of your own volition and seeing them through to reality.
• Own problems end-to-end and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.
• Can identify technical pain points in our systems and can lead others to appropriate corrective action
• Feel excited to collaborate and learn with technical and non-technical teams, including our ML and platform engineers.
• Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help others, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make both your teams succeed.
• Are adept at context switching and working on multiple projects at once, ruthlessly prioritizing and finding efficiency gains.
