As an Engineering Manager at Conviva, you are a strong technical leader in the data science and machine learning areas. You are going to lead team efforts on building Conviva’s proprietary identity solution which is essential to various marketing and advertising use cases, and drive business outcomes. You will push the best engineering practices and disciplines within the team and keep the team highly productive and efficient. You need to stay updated on the newest technologies in AI/ML and continuously drive innovations. As a manager, you should provide mentorship to the team, keep the team highly motivated and well organized. 

What You Get to Do: 

• Lead group of data scientists and ML engineers on building Conviva’s identity models throughout the entire lifecycle of design, POC, product deployment till rolling out to customers and keep a high bar on model performance and scalability
• Work closely with product managers and other business stakeholders to understand the business use cases and lead project scoping and planning for Stream ID team to achieve high business outcome
• Work closely with data science and engineering leaders to define technology roadmap and continuously drive innovations
• Provide mentoring to the Stream ID team, ensuring team member’s continuous career growth
• Attract, hire and retain top data science and engineering talent

What You Bring to the Role:

• Good background in math/statistics and ML
• Experience with building AI/ML applications and scaling ML models in production
• Good understanding of distributed computing and experience with large distributed dataset, eg. experience with spark, Hadoop, Big Query, etc.
• Proficient in 1+ programming languages (Scala, Java, Python)
• 5+ years of software engineering or DS experience
• 2+ years of experience with leading and growing high performance teams

Preferred:

• MS or Ph.D. degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with common graph algorithms.
• Experience with time series analysis.
• Experience with Ad Tech or ID graph.
