Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) | Remotely from EMEA

This team builds and operates foundational infrastructure that will underpin the applications used by MessageBird’s global customer base.

They work collectively as a function focused on core areas around containerization, service orchestration, CI/CD, observability, developer experience, and networking.

What You’ll Do

Build resilient, scalable and secure cloud infrastructures (e.g. EC2, ECS, EKS, ALB, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB), change management services (e.g. CDK pipelines) on top of AWS
Optimize developer workflows through tooling and automation to increase the flexibility of the platform, particularly specializing in Infrastructure as Code through CloudFormation
Expand Engineering team’s knowledge of AWS solutions, its infrastructure, principles and performance through mentoring and presenting
Design and establish core principles of working with AWS within MessageBird

What You’ll Bring

Prior experience of designing, deploying, and scaling production infrastructure for consumer and enterprise facing products
Deep knowledge of AWS cloud-based infrastructure and solutions, its principles and performance, with proven track record over a variety of projects and implementations
Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
In-depth experience with container management systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
A strong drive for continuous improvement and ability to think on your feet to overcome challenges
Experience with designing, deploying, and scaling production environments at a very large scale is a bonus
