We are looking for a top notch engineering leader with a proven record of delivering consistently in high growth and high scale environment with exemplary leadership qualities. This leader is expect to play an important role in supporting high growth business and drive innovation required to design and develop the next generation of highly scalable, modular and extensible Big Data Streaming Platform and Core Computation Logic. The platform supports real-time, near real-time and offline analytics and is built to process petabytes of data with stringent SLAs with one computation stack. The team is responsible for the computation infrastructure using Akka, Flink or Spark, building high quality software framework using functional programming language such as Scala for the core business data logic layer.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you are technical and experienced in building solutions using the mature and emerging big data computation technologies. You must set high bar, attract and assemble teams of the best talents, mentor and help the team members grow. You must keep the teams highly motivated and well organized; plan strategically and tactically, and execute with the best engineering practices and disciplines; deliver the streaming platform and features with high scalability, stability, reliability, resiliency and cost-effectiveness in the production environment with significant business impacts for the years to come. You need to help other teams in the organization to build their product features on top of the framework you build, including evangelizing and training. You also need to work closely with both up stream and down stream dependent teams.

Develop and prioritize technology roadmap in close collaboration with technology leaders to deliver product requirements with clear SLAs
Ensure execution of roadmap in a timely fashion with optimal quality and fiscal responsibilities
Build, communicate and execute streaming computation platform 2SSR plans (Scalability, Stability, Reliability and Resiliency) to stay ahead of the explosive traffic growth and computation needs with stringent SLAs
Lead conflict resolution, incident resolution management, and prioritization of CCB (Change Control Board requests) related to the streaming computation and core logic framework
What you bring to the role
BS in CS or equivalent, advanced degrees preferred
10+ years of software engineering with 5+ years of Big Data Computation experience.
Proven track records of leading high-performance teams with timely and high-quality deliveries
Proven record of developing and commercially deploying highly scalable computation platforms leveraging different big data computation technologies
5+ years of hands on experience with scala functional programming and advanced type systems is a big plus
Experience with big data computation technologies (such as Spark, Flink, Akka, especially Akka), Messaging layers (such as Kafka and Kinesis), and Cloud and container-based deployments (such as Docker and Kubernetes)
Experience of working in a complex, service-oriented software development environment; experience with building large-scale micro services preferred
Ability to work with ambiguity and operationalize emerging technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
