About the Role

The Builder Infrastructure Platforms team develops and maintains infrastructure platforms and solutions that support hundreds of developers at Twitch. We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer who embodies customer obsession and who prioritizes operational excellence. Along with your peers and with the support of Senior Engineers, you'll help maintain and enhance Twitch's AWS infrastructure platforms, including management of LDAP, VPN, and broad AWS account management. In addition, you'll solve high-leverage infrastructure problems in elegant and reusable ways, acting as a force multiplier for software developers within Twitch. You will report to the Manager of Builder Infrastructure Platforms.

You Will:

• Operate critical third-party infrastructure and builder tools like LDAP, VPN, GitHub Enterprise, and Jenkins, in a highly available fashion
• Deliver new features and capabilities on Twitch's AWS infrastructure and CI/CD platform strategic roadmaps
• Partner with Security and Operational Excellence teams to implement security controls and improve resilience of Twitch AWS accounts
• Partner with development teams to provide infrastructure best practices and patterns
• Level up Twitch's cloud capabilities by continually learning about AWS products. Identify opportunities to solve broad problems with native AWS products

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience building, maintaining, and supporting high scale, business critical systems in a cloud environment
• 3+ years of experience automating administrative and configuration tasks
• Proficiency in one of the following languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts

Bonus Points

• Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture concepts
• Experience with AWS and AWS CDK Infrastructure-as-code
• Experience managing builder tools including code repositories and CI/CD pipelines

The pay range for this position in Colorado and Connecticut is $114,000 - $174,800 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act and CT House Bill Number 6380. Base pay information is based on market location.
